Tarte Beauty Without Boundaries 2nd Shipment

I was hoping to have an unblocking video and post today for the second shipment of the Tarte TSV Beauty without Boundaries, but alas I am still waiting to hear from QVC on whether or not they will fulfill all orders.
I was really really hoping to have it before Christmas as I was gifting the BB Cream and corrector to my mom (she loves BB creams). Now it's the weekend before Christmas and I will have to head to the mall to find something else for her. She says she doesn't mind waiting for her gift but who doesn't love opening up a gift on Christmas morning.
I will keep you guys updated on whether or not I end up getting it.

For those interested here is what the second shipment would look like.

Kohls Haul: TheBalm Cosmetics

If you follow our instagram then you know we recently discovered a treasure trove of TheBalm products in one of our local Kohls stores, and I could not be more excited. I literally forget my family and walked straight for the display because I have never swatched a TheBalm product before purchasing it, and I was so happy to play with everything.
We did pick up a few things and wanted to share some swatches with you guys.

(Mary Lou-Manizer on left, Betty Lou-Manizer on right)

Mary Lou-Manizer

I love this; it is the perfect shade of champagne. You can wear it as an eye shadow, an inner corner highlight, or a cheekbone highlight. It will revolutionize anyone’s ideas on highlighting.

Betty Lou-Manizer

I have not had too many chances to wear this since I got it because its been freezing here and an overly bronzed face looks strange. But the few times I have used I know it will be my go to bronzer in the summer. It is light and shimmery without being overwhelming, it gives the skin a very healthy glow.

In Stain Blushes

(Houndstooth, Toile, Argyle)

Holy cow are these things pigmented. When I swatched them my fingers remained stained even after washing. I am impressed with the wear time of the blushes, and they seem so natural once you have them on. They are standouts in my opinion.

Give Me More Lip: Buxom Menace

So while I have been loving my give me more lip, I haven't been sharing the love on here! So I will be posting pictures and quick reviews to the lipsticks in the kit as I wear them. Seeing as how these colors are all available full size, you can get an idea of if you like the whole kit enough to purchase it, or just want one. So since it is fall, I naturally had to pick a berry to wear an chose Buxom's Menace lipstick. While this is one of the smallest lipsticks in the kit, it is amazing!

The color payoff is fantastic and I love the feeling of it on my lips. I have another lipstick by them so I am pleased to ad this to my collection. My only complaint about this formulation is that it is a bit too soft. Even my full size one has bent slightly to the side with only wearing it a couple of times so far. They are not a good summer lipstick formulation at all, but should be perfectly fine during these cold months. Here is a picture of me wearing Menace, hopefully you guys think it looks as good as I do! :P

Yess' Black Friday Beauty Hall

Sorry for being so behind on this but if you follow my mommy blog you know that the end of November is hard for my family and I just ran out of time to post.
I did head to Sephora to do some Black Friday shopping, yes I was one of those crazy people who went out on Thanksgiving Day but before you judge Ill just share with you that we had our family dinner at 3.
I headed to Walmart to pick a few things up for my daughter and I will be sharing those items on my mommy blog.
But now onto the beauty things.

I did not pick up anything too special, I did order a few things online that I am waiting for and when they arrive I will post an update.
I did pick up a few gifts to serve as stocking stuffers.
But I am most excited about trying the Purity, I am always on the hunt for a good cleanser and I have heard great things about this product.

I will update you guys on how things work out.

Sephora Glitz and Glam: Lancome Hypnose Star Mascara

This for me was the standout of the entire kit. I have tried the LancĂ´me Definicils Mascara before but it was nothing special for me, but this mascara was completely different. This mascara gave me length, and separation, with just the right amount of volume so my lashes looked almost false. The wand is conical so it flairs out the outer lashes while depositing just the right amount of product on the inner lashes. Both Katt and I discovered a new favorite in this mascara and are willing to pay the $28 to have it in our lives. Overall this was the best part of the kit, it gets and A+++ from me and two thumbs up from us both, if you have a chance to test it out go for it you wont regret it.

Sephora Glitz and Glam Nails Inc Kensington Gel Effect Plumping Top Coat

I've read many people online compare this to the Seche Vite and I would have to disagree, I prefer the Seche Vite. I felt like this cause the nail polish to pull so far into the middle of my nail that my manicure lasted only a day. I wouldn't recommend this product. :(

Sephora Glitz and Glam Sephora Celebrity Lashes

Pardon the no simple eye but I wanted to show off the lashes. This is something from the kit that I did enjoy. I found the lashes easy to apply because they have a nice thing band and are very flexible. The Celebrity lash is longer in the end and shorter towards the inside of the eye giving that Cat Eye effect. The lashes are of a nice quality and they look great, but for the price I can get 4 pairs of the Salon Perfect lashes. But overall if you have extra money to spend in Sephora and want a pair of lashes I would say you couldn't go wrong with the Celebrity lashes.

Sephora Glitz and Glam Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelee

This kit comes with the Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelee in the color Pink Escape. The color is very beautiful, it is a vibrant pink but it is very subtle on the cheeks. When I swatched it on my hand the color was very intense and it went on smoothly but on my cheeks it was a different story. The color was super patchy and it took three or four passes for it appear as it does in the picture above. The color did not last very long on me, but like I have said before I have oily skin and that may be a factor. I did layer another pink blush on top and that did help with the staying power. All in all it is not something I would run out and purchase. It was one of the two things I was really excited about in this kit and it is horrible that I ended up not liking it.

Sephora Glitz and Glam Nars Lipgloss

The gloss is a light champagne color with small gold glitter flecks. The glitter is small enough that if you are someone who runs their lips together its is not something you would feel. It does dry down a little helping prolong the wear time of a lipstick.
I really liked it but its not something I would repurchase because its not a very unique lip color but overall it is one of the perks of this kit.
I would give it an A.

Katt's Black Friday Haul 2013!

So I went out this Thursday night, even though the idea of shopping on thanksgiving is horrible. I mean, did I want to miss out on all the great sales? No way! Not all the stuff I bought was Beauty related, but I'm going to post the things I'm excited about that aren't. First stop: Walmart

Since they open earlier than any other retailer, it was a no brainer. I got some basic stuff, socks and PJs. But I also splurged on a couple of video games.

This is me holding back. I wanted so many more, and regret putting Battlefield down, but I just couldn't spend all my money at Walmart. I am happy with the ones I chose. I haven't had any time to play them since I have been so busy at both my jobs, but hopefully this weekend I will open one of these bad boys up.

After Walmart, I headed to a mall that I knew was opening up at 8pm. When I got there I waited in line to get into Ulta. When those doors opened, I scooped up everything I was after.

Pictures above are:
- Bare Minerals: Go for the Glow
- Laura Gellar: Sparkling Rose
- Urban Decay: Dangerous Palette
- Benefit: Lip Lotto

Since Friday, I have begun to question if I made the right decision getting all of this stuff. At the moment, I am still unsure. The Urban Decay palette is a gift, and I'm 100% sure they will love it. I kinda wish I had gotten myself one too! I will update this once I make a final decision on all the stuff and put up some pictures of the products and swatches.

While I was at Ulta, my sister was at Sephora waiting outside in the cold. She will be posting later about all the stuff she was able to grab through the sea of people over there.

My only other physical purchase of the night was at GameStop at midnight. Or rather 12:40 when I finally made it to the front of the line. It's nothing amazing, but after all the rave reviews on this game I had to pick it up.

This lovely thing was $30 and I'm excited to play it. I feel it will consume all of my time, so I will have to wait about 2 weeks to even try to touch it. But I'm excited!

I bought some items online but I don't want to say what until they arrive. I will be posting as soon as they get here. :)
