These cream eye shadows work great on their own or under shadows. I own most of the colors and can say that they do not all perform the same but for the most part they perform well. Bad to the bronze, and barely branded are my favorite. The only downside is that there are no matte skin tone shades. But for the $5-$6 price tag you really can not beat the value.

Pros: Great base for eye shadow.

Tips: Apply with fingers or a synthetic brush for more precise application

I cannot wait to get my hands on the matte neutral shades that came out to see how they match up against my Mac paintpots.

Annie's Mac and Cheese Cups

As a mother to a young child I am faced constantly with the issue of what I can feed her that's healthy and quick. Microwaveable Mac and cheese has always seemed to be a good option, primarily because Mac and cheese is in the top of her favorites. The Annie's Microwavable Mac and cheese cups in Cheddar are amazing. They are creamy and the noodles do not get tough or chewy when cooked. And for my daughter, we heat it up and if we are in a hurry we mix in some broccoli and she is in heaven. I would definitely recommend it for any mother out there who finds herself wondering if there are any healthy and quick lunch alternatives for her kids. It really is quick and easy.

Dr. Scholl's® For Her Comfort Insoles Review

While we focus mostly on beauty, its hard not to remember the saying "Pain is Beauty"...and for once, I can say that doesn't have to be true! While some women are lucky enough to walk around in their shoes all day long no matter the heel size, we can't all be those imaginary perfect women. I for one, can't go a full day wearing flats, let alone heels. I got a pair of Dr. Scholl's For Her insoles free in my Influenster MamaVoxBox and I couldn't be happier. Between working two part-time jobs and going to school full-time, I am constantly on my feet and walking around. After a long day, I always practically crawl back in the house, but that was not the case today. I think I might have to buy a couple more pairs of these insoles to keep me going in all my shoes. My only complaint is that being a size 10, they didn't quite feel like they fit properly, but I was kind of expecting that. I would also like to mention, that these are not just for high heels, even though at first glance one might write them off as just that. Like I said, I wear flats more often than anything else, and these made me feel like I was walking on pillows. So if you are in the market for insoles that will keep you walking in your shoes for the whole day, these are going to be your new best friend!

Sephora Favorites Superstars Summer Kit

I am so sorry that I have not gotten this up sooner, I ran into some technical issues and am still working though them but I opted to get this up as soon as I could.

So let’s get started, I did purchase this kit at Sephora and as of this posting it was still available at Sephora.com but I am sure they will be going fast. The kit is $75 and is worth every penny. But do not worry if you cannot get your hands on the kit, the items are sold at Sephora individually.


Nars Blush in Orgasm
 

 

Nars Orgasm is a peachy pink blush with a gold shimmer running through it. This was not my favorite item out of the kit although it is the one that I tried first. I have a light to medium skin tone with yellow undertones and I found that unless I really packed it on I have a hard time getting the color that I want out of it. I ended up using it more as a highlight but I still liked the way that it looked. The color is beautiful but maybe too shimmery for everyday.

Benefit They’re Real! Mascara

This mascara is probably one of my favorite mascaras ever so I have spent many days searching for dupes, I am so excited that I finally have a full size. The mascara features a rubber bristled brush with shot bristles covering the entire length of it, and then a small cluster of bristles on the tip of it so that even the eyelashes in the inner corner can get some mascara. Personally I really like it, I have naturally long and curled lashes so I can use most mascara, but this one just elevates them to another level. Its rivals Tarte Lights Camera Lashes as my favorite high end mascara.

 

Josie Maran Argan Oil

I use this only at night as part of my nightly skin routine. I have extremely oily skin and cannot use this during the day time, but I do feel that even just applying it once a day has helped the texture of my skin. As we start moving into the colder months I look forward to seeing what this can do for my skin.

Buxom Big and Healthy Lip Polish in Dolly

    

I prefer the Lip Creams to the Lip Polishes because I feel that they are more pigmented but this color is a really nice sheer mauve. It can be worn on top of a lipstick to add a little shine or it can be worn alone. Like all other Buxom lip glosses it has the plumping agent in it, and smells like peppermint.

Kat Von D Saint Eau de Parfume Rollerball

I have not put the roller ball to much use as I feel that it is a more musky scent, better left for the colder months. But I am looking forward to using it this coming winter.

As for the smell, it can be a little strong and a tad musky but it works.

Make Up For Ever HD Finishing Powder

 

I feel like there is not much to say about this product, it is a good setting powder when you want your makeup to look flawless because it blends seamlessly over pores. However, as I stated before I have very oily skin and did not find that it helped my makeup wear any better. Also, be careful to not over apply when using it, there have been photographs ruined by the ugly white caste it can produce.

This was probably the second standout in this kit. The eye shadow trio is a baked one, so the colors can be used wet or dry. Personally I do not feel that you have to wet your brush to get the desired effect. The colors are buttery and go on with so much pigmentation with only one swipe. The trio has a shimmery champagne which can be used as an inner corner highlight or a brow highlight, a pinky peach that can be used as a lid color, and a nice warm brown that can be used as a crease color.

Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment 

This is the only product in the set that I have not yet tried, I feel like I am saving it for a home spa day with the girls but we will see if and when that happens.
As the weather gets colder out I feel a greater need to exfoliate my face and I am definitely going to put this to good use.

Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner   

 The eyeliner is in black, and like the name states it is an all day liner. I love cat eye liner and wear it on the daily. This is a great liner with a fine tip that allows for a more precise application.

 

Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer 

This is a product that works very well with oily skin. It is very light weight and almost has a slippery consistency. It helps to keep skin matte just a little longer, thus extending the wear of ones makeup.

 

 

 

Influenster MamaVoxBox

Update: Sorry for putting this up so late. We were in the process of a move when we received the box and as hard as we tried it seems the odds were not in my favor. But now after coming back from technical difficulties, we are here to share some reviews with you guys. J

Sephora Favorites Give Me More Lip

Now, I know what you all must be thinking, "Why guys, its still September! Why are you already talking about holiday sets?!?!". And here is the simple answer, they are just all too good to wait for. Usually, we wait another month before starting on our shopping for the season, but after missing out on some of the kits we wanted last year, we learned our lesson. I started seeing little sets showing up in the impulse buy area of Sephora including a small set of lip products at the beginning of August. But this kit, is strictly online only (at least at the time of this posting) and is worth it.

 

The photo of the cover of the box was enough to stop me in my tracks as I was browsing the Sephora website, which I tend to do a lot. I can't help but add things to my cart that I have no intention of every buying, because then I would have the entire store in the comfort of my own home! When I saw the variety in this kit I knew it was a great value for the price. As you can see in the first photo, this kit cost $59 and while it might seem a bit pricey, just look at all the different products you get to try out. SIXTEEN DIFFERENT PRODUCTS!!

 

I can't think of a better more fair way to test out so many products from such a wide array of brands.

 

The kit has 4 different groupings: reds, pinks, nudes, and berries.

 

 

This is an inside view of the box, and yes it is full of my finger prints.

 

I got very excited!! I have swatched them all already, but I feel like they deserve their own reviews, especially since some of them were clear winners and should be praised. I might end up reviewing them by color but I hope you share in my excitement for this great holiday set. I think that this is a set that no one should pass up. If you think you would like even half of these colors or brands, it is really worth it. While I swatched them, I realized I would never have tried some of these colors myself, and ended up really liking them on.
