Red hair dye has a tendency to fade fast, so this is a great product to keep that from happening too quickly. I wash my hair every 2-3 days to keep fading to a minimum and use this shampoo every time. One thing to note is that this shampoo is tinted to a certain level, which can compete with the tone of the red you have. So keep this in mind if your hair is darker or more blonde than pure red.
